Delays on A249 after crash near Stockbury Roundabout

Drivers were told to expect delays on the A249 after it was left blocked by an accident.

Police were called to a crash, believed to have involved four vehicles, on the Maidstone-bound carriageway shortly before 2.20pm.

The road fully reopened south of the A2 junction at about 5pm, following the incident just before the Stockbury Roundabout.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and road closures are in place while the incident is dealt with.

"Minor injuries are believed to have been reported."

Firefighters are also in attendance.

Kent County Council's highway's department is advising motorists to expect delays from Bobbing.
