A man has been arrested after a young woman was reportedly threatened with a knife on a train.

The alleged incident took place on a service between Sittingbourne and Sheerness railway stations at around 8.30am yesterday (October 30).

Police were called and a 36-year-old man from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of violence against a person.

He has since been bailed with conditions until November 28 while the investigation continues.
