Boy taken to hospital after being run over in Sittingbourne

A boy has been rushed to hospital after being run over by a car.

Police were called to the incident in Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne at around 4pm on Tuesday, July 2.

Officers and paramedics were at the scene.

An ambulance took the boy to Medway Maritime Hospital.

At the moment no serious injuries have been reported.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: "SECAMB were called to a collision involving a pedestrian at 3.50pm on Tuesday in Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne. We responded to reports a person had been hit by a car.

"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the patient was treated for multiple abrasions but was not believed to have suffered major injuries."
