Motorists informed of night closures of Stockbury Viaduct on the M2

A series of night closures are planned for a stretch of the M2 so roadworks can be carried out on a motorway bridge.

The Stockbury Viaduct - part of the Junction 5 interchange, where the motorway meets the A249 – is currently covered in scaffolding.

The M2 coast-bound carriageway will be shut between junction 4 for Gillingham and junction 6 for Faversham between 8pm and 6am on Saturday and Sunday.

It will also be closed in both directions on Saturday, February 3, and the following day it will be shut London-bound.

There will then be closures in both directions on Monday, February 19, and Tuesday, February 20, between the same hours.

The works include installing a centre movement joint, rubber and anti-skid measures.
