More than a dozen caravans park at Milton Regis Recreation Ground near Sittingbourne

Council bosses say they are taking “appropriate action” after caravans arrived in a park.

Around 15 vehicles are parked on Milton Regis Recreation Ground, near Sittingbourne.

It is understood they are not part of the travelling fun fair which comes to the park, which is overseen by Swale council.

Following the arrival of the encampment, a council spokesman said: “The council is aware of the situation and is taking appropriate action.”

The caravans are believed to have arrived before 9pm on Tuesday (May 6).
