Stockbury couple affected by flooding

A couple living in Stockbury say they have been left with nothing after their home was left swimming in three feet of water.

It is feared the damage caused by yesterday's heavy rainfall which lashed Kent could end up costing John and Shirley Britcher tens of thousands of pounds.

The elderly couple tried desperately to save their belongings as the storm hit but were unable to keep the water out.
