There were delays on the A249 after a crash between a car and a lorry.

Police were called to the Maidstone-bound carriageway at Detling, near the Shell garage, at about 2.15pm.

A spokesman said: "No serious injuries have been reported, however the incident has caused an obstruction in a live carriageway.

"Recovery for the vehicles has been arranged."

Kent County Council's Highways team sent an official to assist with a diesel spillage.

The road fully reopened at around 4.45pm.
