Sittingbourne man arrested after serious crash between motorbikes and car on A2 London Road in Teynham

Two people remain in hospital after a serious crash between two motorbikes and a car.

One rider has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and drugs, and causing injury by dangerous driving.

Police were called to the A2, London Road, Teynham, near the Dover Castle Inn, at around 7.20pm on Friday after a crash between two motorbikes and a blue Volvo V40.

The road was closed for 10 hours and reopened at around 5.30am the following morning.

One rider and a passenger of a blue Suzuki GSXR were seriously injured and both remain in hospital.

A 22-year-old man from Sittingbourne, who was riding a white Honda CBR, received minor injuries and was arrested at the scene.

He has since been bailed until August 1. His passenger also received minor injuries.

The occupants of the car were not injured.
