Community chef Mike Spackman gave a healthy food demonstration to families at Murston children’s centre.

Smoothies and fruit kebabs were high on the list of new things to try along with the chance to learn more about healthier living.

Yioungsters were able to try their hands at making meals using play food and learning about food groups and portions.

Richard Bailey centre manager said: “The event was a good opportunity for health organisations to join together and share information.”

Information stands included the midwives team, health visitors, breastfeeding support, children’s and families information service, health walks and Swale Council.
