Lane closed on Maidstone-bound A249 after motorcycle crash

A lane of the A249 has been closed after a crash involving a motorcyclist.

Police were called at about 8am to the Maidstone-bound carriageway, just after the Bobbing roundabout, near Sittingbourne, to reports of a crash.

No other vehicles were involved.

Officers closed the outside lane while paramedics attend to the rider with a leg injury, which is not described as life threatening.

An eye-witness, who did not want to be named, said there was two ambulances, a police car and a police van.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
