Queuing traffic on A249 near Kemsley and Iwade after crash

There are delays on the A249 after a crash near Kemsley.

Kent Police was called at 4.45pm to a report of a collision on the Sheppey-bound A249 between the B2005 Grovehurst Road in Iwade, and the B2231 for Sheppey Way.

It's understood one of the cars has overturned and crashed into the central reservation on the approach to the Sheppey Crossing closing the offside lane going onto the Island.

The road is partially blocked but traffic is able to pass the accident.

Nobody was injured and police are still at the scene.
