A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving an HGV under the influence of alcohol.
Members of the public called the police after spotting a DAF truck being driven poorly on the M2 and the A249 yesterday (Saturday).
When officers stopped the driver they alleged they were under the influence of alcohol.
Sharing the news on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Kent Police’s Road Policing unit thanked those who called in the poor driving.
The driver has since been arrested and a report has been sent to the Traffic Commissioners who are responsible for the licensing and regulation of those who operate HGVs, buses and coaches.
