Fulston Manor School pupils warned of stranger danger in Swanstree Avenue

Pupils were warned to avoid a "suspicious looking person" with a possible weapon on the way home from a Sittingbourne school this afternoon.

A member of the public warned staff at Fulston Manor School, Brenchley Road, Sittingbourne, who passed the message on.

Youngsters were told to avoid walking towards Sittingbourne Community College along Swanstree Avenue.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called at 3.40pm to a report of a person acting suspiciously in Swanstree Avenue, Sittingbourne, and in possession of a possible weapon.

"Local patrols attended, no offences identified and no suspect was located."
