Tye was last seen wearing light blue jeans, black trainers and carrying a rucksack and a large black duffle bag.

Police first issued an appeal for information about a week after his disappearance.

Detective constable Stewart Catt, from Kent Police’s missing and child exploitation team, said: "We have conducted numerous inquiries to locate Tye and believe he is still likely to be in Kent – possibly Sheppey or Folkestone.

"Due to his age, it is extremely important that we locate him so we can check on his well-being.

"I would therefore urge anyone with information, no matter how small they consider it, to call us on 101, quoting reference 15-1922."
