Thief targets string of cars in Kemsley near Sittingbourne

Seven cars were broken into over two nights in Kemsley.

The cars which were parked in Eclipse Drive, Burkeston Close, Pastime Close, Lance Close, Lloyd Drive and Monarch Drive, were targeted overnight last Friday and Saturday.

Items were stolen from three of them.

Police believe all the offences may have been committed by the same person.

His haul included mobile phones, a suitcase and sunglasses.

Some witnesses have reported seeing a white man, of average build, in the area. At the time he was wearing a black hooded jumper with a white shirt underneath. He was wearing black shorts.

Police would like to see any CCTV footage householders may have that might help with their inquiries.

Meanwhile they advise to take care to remove valuables from vehicles and park in a brightly lit area if possible.
