Six miles of congestion after M2 partially blocked between Faversham and Sittingbourne due to three-vehicle accident

Drivers faced long rush-hour delays after two cars and a van collided.

The M2 London-bound was partially blocked following the incident at around 7.15 am this morning between Junction 6 for Faversham and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne.

Traffic was tailing back six miles with an estimated travel time of around 30 minutes.

The road has since been reopened, and congestion has eased.

Police were called to the scene and assisted with vehicle recovery.

Serious injuries were not reported.
