Paramedics treat three for smoke inhalation after barn fire in Bredgar

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a barn, which left three men needing treatment for the effects of breathing in smoke.

Crews were called to the 60 metre by 30 metre barn in Deans Hill Road in Bredgar at around 4.30pm this evening.

The building, used for storage, was well alight when firefighters arrived.

They used a jet and compressed air foam to tackle the blaze.

The three men were assessed by paramedics at the scene, and the fire needed just damping down by 5.20pm.
