Travellers have pitched up at a park just weeks after a group were told to leave.
More than 30 caravans are said to be parked up at Milton Recreational Ground near Sittingbourne.
They arrived at around 7.30pm last night (May 26).
Swale council says it is aware of the situation and is “taking appropriate action.”
If an unauthorised camp is on privately-owned land, it is the responsibility of the landowner to prevent or evict them.
Councils have the responsibility to balance the general public interest with the human rights of the members of the encampment.
According to the Equality Act 2010, people must not be discriminated against because of their race – a law that protects Travellers.
