Emergency crews called after vehicle flips up bank on M2 near Faversham

The M2 was closed after reports that a vehicle flipped up a bank following a collision this morning.

Highways England said traffic was held following the crash, which is thought to have happened just before 11.45am on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 6 near Faversham and Junction 5 near Sittingbourne.

They said emergency services were called to the scene but all lanes have since been reopened.

Kent Police confirmed they were called at 11:25am to reports a car had overturned on the Londonbound carriageway of the M2 near to junction 6.

Officers attended with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the driver of the car was treated for injuries described as minor.
