A 56-year-old woman was left needing hospital treatment after being struck on the head from behind as she walked across a footbridge in a Kent town.
The victim was walking home over the footbridge in Murston Road, Sittingbourne, when she heard people laughing and talking behind her.
She was then hit on the back of the head before the suspects, who were wearing hooded tops, rode away on bicycles.
It is claimed one of the suspects was carrying a skateboard and police say they have not ruled out the possibility that it was used to hit the victim.
The woman later realised her vision was blurred and was diagnosed with concussion at Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, which took place at around 2pm on Tuesday, July 11, to come forward.
