Sittingbourne: £4,000 stolen during High Street distraction robbery

Police have released CCTV images after a woman had £4,000 stolen moments before she was due to buy a new car.

Officers investigating the distraction robbery would like to speak to the women in the images following the incident which took place at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop in Sittingbourne’s High Street.

The victim had just withdrawn the cash from her bank and noticed the cash was missing after another woman bumped into her at around 1.30pm yesterday.

It is reported the suspect was working with an accomplice.
