Shane Byrne will be hoping to continue his impressive start to the British Superbikes season as the series heads to Oulton Park this weekend.
Byrne sits joint top of the standings after a win and a second place finish in the opening round of the championship.
The Airwaves Ducati rider will be chased hard by joint leader Cal Crutchlow this weekend in the Cheshire countryside.
Byrne claimed a podium finish last year, finishing third in race two, but he has bigger ambitions this year after his early impressive form marks him out as a real title contender.
“I am really enjoying riding the Airwaves Ducati 1098R and it is suited to a technically challenging circuit like Oulton Park so I am looking forward to performing well this weekend.
"I achieved podiums there last year and I am confident I can continue my run of good form, secure more championship points and hopefully extend my championship lead.
"The Airwaves Ducati team have worked so hard over the last couple of rounds to get the best out of me and the bike and I think that will continue to pay off this weekend and we will achieve more great results.”
