Shane Byrne was satisfied with three podium finishes from the British Superbike triple header at Oulton Park.

Sittingbourne rider Byrne was third behind Ryuichi Kiyonari and Josh Brookes in the opening two races of the weekend.

The Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki man then came runner-up to Brookes in the final race, with Dan Linfoot third and Kiyonari fourth.

Byrne leads Brookes 313-244 in the championship, with Kiyonari third on 202.

He said: "Two thirds and a second place isn't really what we come racing for but it isn't a terrible weekend either.

"I want to thank the team and especially thank the physios this weekend and now it's onwards and upwards to Cadwell Park (August 23-25)."
