Car crashes into ditch along A28 in Bethersden

A driver was hurt after her car left the road this afternoon and landed in a ditch.

The crash happened along the A28 in Bethersden at around 12.30pm.

The driver, a woman, suffered neck injuries.

There were delays in the area as emergency services attended the incident, with tailbacks of two miles.

The road was cleared by 2.30pm.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Police were called at 12.30pm to reports a woman had driven her car into a ditch.

"She complained of neck pain. No other vehicles or people involved."
