A woman in her 30s has died after emergency services were called to a clifftop promenade.

Crews including the air ambulance were called to the scene in the park along Cliftonville seafront.

The helicopter was seen landing near The Oval Bandstand and Lawns in Margate shortly after 4pm.

Witnesses reported the helicopter leaving the scene at about 5.15pm.

Police have since confirmed a woman in her 30s died at the scene.

Multiple police cars, ambulances and fire engines were spotted in attendance near the Queen’s Court flats and The Albion Rooms - the studio space run by The Libertines - along the Eastern Esplanade.
