Beach huts destroyed by fire in Margate

Three beach huts have been destroyed after they were ravaged by fire.

Firefighters were called to huts alight on Westcliff Road, Margate at 2am this morning.

Two adjoining huts were also damaged.

Crews fought the blaze using high pressure hoses.

They removed and cooked three propane cylinders for safety.

Crews had managed to put out the fire around 45 minutes later.

The cause is believed to have been accidental, and there were no reported injuries.
