Margate: Bike and rucksack stolen from man delivering newspapers in Dane Road

A thug made off on a bike he stole from a man delivering newspapers in an early morning robbery.

The victim, who is in his 50s, was pushed by another man while in Dane Road, Margate at about 5.20am today (Wednesday), who swiped his rucksack as well as his bike.

The bag contained his mobile phone, bank cards and cash.

The suspect, who rode off on the green and blue Apollo mountain bike towards Park Road, is described as being aged between 18 and 21 and 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in tall.

He was of medium build and was wearing dark clothing including a hooded top. He spoke with a foreign accent.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the suspect or the stolen bike.
