Biker seriously hurt in early-hours smash on Thanet Way near St Nicholas-at-Wade roundabout

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash on the Thanet Way this morning.

The male rider has suffered leg, arm and pelvis injuries in the smash near the St Nicholas-at-Wade junction.

He was taken to King's College Hospital in London after accident at about 4.50am.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The man was treated by medics at the scene before an air ambulance crew took him to hospital by road.

Police said the road had been shut in both directions between the St Nicholas-at-Wade roundabout and Brook Lane.

The road was passable again by 7.20am.
