Man charged after boy seriously injured in crash in Dane Valley Road, Margate

A man has been charged after a young boy was seriously injured in a crash.

The child was taken to a London hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition after the collision in Margate.

Police were called at about 2.05pm yesterday following the incident in Dane Valley Road.

The boy was a passenger in a yellow Iveco Daily van that was involved in a collision with a beige Citroen C4.

Jacek Jarosz, the driver of the van, has been charged with driving while unfit through drink and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The 49-year-old, of William Avenue, Margate, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would now like to hear from any witnesses to the collision including anyone who saw either vehicle beforehand.

They would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist their investigation.
