A children's air ambulance has landed beside a popular beauty spot.

The helicopter touched down by Monkton Nature Reserve, near Ramsgate, where police and road ambulances are also at the scene.

It is understood the air ambulance landed at the site to help a patient who was already being transferred in an ambulance.

The ambulance is believed to have pulled into the nature reserve to meet the helicopter.

An eyewitness reported seeing a road ambulance leave the area on blue lights.

The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
