Detective Sergeant Brian Doughty said: "Three offenders jemmied open the doors at the front of the store and stole a quantity of cigarettes.

"We believe the offenders had a large builders’ supply-type bag with them.

"They also more than likely had a vehicle parked nearby.

"We are asking anyone who saw people acting suspiciously in the area at the time to contact us.

"We would also like to hear from anyone offered cigarettes for sale."

Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference number 06-0081.
