A Coastguard helicopter search was launched after police received reports of a suicidal man in the Broadstairs area.
Teams from Margate and Deal were sent out yesterday afternoon to look around the beaches and base of the cliff.
Nothing was found, however, and it was confirmed by police that the person had been found safe and well.
All units were stood down.
