A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car.

Paramedics were called shortly before 10am to the collision on the junction of The Street and Margate Hill in Acol, Birchington.

Traffic was reportedly unable to pass while medics responded to the incident.

An ambulance spokesperson confirmed crews assessed and treated the cyclist at the scene.

They were taken to William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment.

A police spokesperson said the for called at 9.56am on Tuesday 20 May 2025 to the junction of The Street and Margate Hill in Acol, Birchington following reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

Officers attended along with ambulance crews.
