A dog has died following a house fire which prompted a large emergency service response overnight.
Fire crews were called to a property in Taddy Gardens, Margate at 1.13am today following reports of a blaze.
At its peak, it took crews on four engines using hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames, while workers wore breathing apparatus.
Efforts to extinguish the flames were finished by 6.03am. Sadly, a dog died at the scene, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause is not yet known.
