Emergency services have descended on a seafront beauty spot amid concerns for a person in the sea.

The serious incident happened at Grenham Bay in Birchington-on-Sea at about 9.30am.

Police, the coastguard and paramedics are currently at the scene.

Multiple emergency vehicles have been spotted along the seafront.

A police spokesman confirmed they received "a report of concern for a person in the water" and are currently near Beresford Gap.
