Film crews spotted in Ramsgate as production of second series of Lucia Keskin’s BBC show Things You Should Have Done gets underway

Camera crews were spotted in Kent for the filming of a new series of an award-winning comedy.

Four trucks were spotted in Wellington Crescent, Ramsgate, as production for the second season of Margate’s own Lucia Keskin’s BBC show Things You Should Have Done got underway.

The first series aired on BBC Three last year and followed stay-at-home daughter Chi (Lucia Keskin) as she is forced to fend for herself when her parents die in a car crash.

She learns that she will only inherit their house if she completes a list of ‘Things You Should Have Done’ left in her parents’ will.

According to the BBC, the second series, written by and starring Lucia, welcomes BAFTA-nominated Bridget Christie as Chi’s “unhinged and unprofessional grief councillor” as she’s once again forced to leave the house and face life head-on with “yet more chaotic consequences”.

The show, produced by Roughcut Television, recently won best scripted comedy at the 2025 Royal Television Society awards.

Lucia is also nominated at this year’s BAFTA TV Craft Awards in the ‘emerging talent fiction’ category.

Previously, KentOnline spoke to the former Dane Court Grammar pupil about her seven-year journey from failing school to finding TV fame.

Lucia, known to her fans as ‘Chi With A C’, found success on YouTube with a video of her opening her GCSE results, which has now received nearly one million views.

Since then, the 24-year-old has become a social media sensation thanks to her unique comedy clips, amassing 464,000 subscribers, 540,000 followers on TikTok and 117,000 more on Instagram.

She was signed by an agent during the pandemic and has credits as a writer on The Emily Atack show as well as acting in Dave series Sneakerhead and Channel Four’s sitcom Big Boy’s, which also filmed in Margate last year.

Production of the new six-part BBC drama, The Dream Lands, is also underway in Thanet.

The star-studded cast, which includes Anna Friel, Connor Swindells and Katherine Parkinson, was announced earlier this year for the hotly anticipated crime and romance series.
