Four fire engines at scene of house fire on South Eastern Road, Ramsgate

Fire crews tackled a blaze that ripped through two floors of a house.

Four fire engines were called to South Eastern Road in Ramsgate at about 12.30pm this afternoon.

Crews wearing breathing equipment used hose reel jets to douse the flames, which had taken hold in the first and second floor of the home.

Smoke could be seen pouring out of the terraced house.

No casualties were reported, and the cause has not yet been established.

The fire service's volunteer response team was also in attendance.
