Five people have been arrested following raids at properties during an investigation into alleged benefits fraud.
The warrants were carried out simultaneously at addresses in Canterbury, Ramsgate and Margate yesterday morning.
Two men and three women were all arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.
A police spokeswoman added: “During the morning of Tuesday, May 20, we carried out a number of pre-planned simultaneous search warrants at properties in Margate, Ramsgate and Canterbury as part of an investigation into an alleged benefits fraud.
“Officers were supported by partner agencies, including the Department for Work and Pensions and Kent County Council.
“Two men and two women from Margate and a woman from Canterbury were all arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.
“All have been released on bail while the investigation continues.”
