Five arrests in Cliftonville as police raid house in Gordon Road and stop offenders in Ethelbert Crescent in search for drugs

Five people have been arrested in Cliftonville after a series of drug offences.

A raid was carried out at an address in Gordon Road on April 6 by detectives where two men were arrested.

Karsten Holmes, 43, of Gordon Road, and Kiel Osei-Tutu, 23, of Maida Road, Chatham, were charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin.

They both appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates Court on April 8.

The case was adjourned and both were remanded until May 6.

Also on April 6 a further three people were stopped in Ethelbert Crescent and arrested by police officers on suspicion of drugs offences.

A 16-year old boy from London and a 28-year-old man from Westgate-on-Sea wer arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They were released on police bail until July 15 and 14 respectively.

A 50-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs and released on police bail until July 14.

They have all been bailed pending further inquiries.
