Teenage girl sexually assaulted in Ethelbert Crescent in Margate

A teenage girl was sexually assaulted after being approached by a man as she walked through a park.

The victim, in her mid-teens, said she was targeted in Margate by the suspect at about 7.30pm on Saturday, May 25 and reported it to police just over a week later.

The man took her back to his vehicle, parked in Ethelbert Crescent, and touched her inappropriately.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 40 and 50, with grey short hair, slightly balding, tall, clean shaven and of medium build.

A number of inquiries have been carried out in order to identify the person responsible and CCTV has been reviewed.

Officers would urge any witnesses or anyone who noticed something suspicious in the area to call police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/106739/19.
