One lucky kmfm listener has finished off their February with a flourish after winning £1,000 in cash.

The radio station's monthly Thousand Pound Friday competition gives listeners 24 hours to enter via text and online to win the prize.

Entries can be made between 6pm on Thursday until 6pm on Friday when one Kent winner is chosen at random.

This evening, kmfm’s Getting You Home presenter Ben called Amy Philpott from Ramsgate to let her know she was the second Thousand Pound Friday winner of 2025.

Amy said: “I’m quite emotional. The money is going towards my daughter Daisy’s second birthday to get her what she wants.”

The winning continues on kmfm next week when the Kent Sound returns to kmfm after 10 years.

Listeners will have to guess what the mystery sound is and where in Kent it’s from for their chance to win a cash jackpot.
