A man was arrested and taken to hospital after a car smashed through a wall.

Emergency services were called to Park Road in Ramsgate last night after the collision.

The car collided with a lamppost and a wall at about 11.45pm.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and arrested a 37-year-old man from Canterbury on suspicion of drink driving.

“He was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not seriously injured and is now in custody at a police station.”
