A 44-year-old man has been named by police after being found dead on a pavement in Margate.
Police were called to Victoria Road last Thursday at about 10pm where a man was found lying on the pavement.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service pronounced him dead at the scene.
He has now been identified as Kevin Sampson, from Minster in Ramsgate, and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of his death.
A 46-year-old man from Margate has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He has been arrested on suspicion of assault and theft and currently remains in police custody.
Detectives would like to know where Mr Sampson was between midday and 9.45pm on the day he died.
They are urging witnesses, or anyone who knew him and has information on his movements that day, to come forward.
