A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a bus in a town centre.
The incident happened in Cecil Street, Margate, near the library, and part of the road remains shut.
Police were called at about 8am, and the ambulance service took the pedestrian to hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 8am to a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Cecil Street, Margate.
“Officers attended the scene, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, where the pedestrian was treated for injuries.
“Officers have blocked part of the street whilst the incident is responded to, but traffic is continuing to move.”
A spokesperson for Stagecoach said: "A pedestrian stepped off the pavement into the near-side of a moving bus at Cecil Square.
“The incident occurred just after 8am this morning and an ambulance attended as a precaution.
“Our thoughts are for the man involved and we're thankful that no serious injury was sustained."
