Ramsgate railway station attended by police and paramedics for emergency incident

A man was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after collapsing at Ramsgate railway station.

Paramedics were called shortly after 11.45am following reports the man was not breathing.

He was resuscitated at the scene and taken to Margate's QEQM Hospital.

His condition was described as "serious".

Police were also called to the station to assist crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb).

A Secamb spokesman said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped the man prior to our arrival."
