Man stabbed at block of flats in Church Hill, Ramsgate

Emergency services cordoned off a road after a man was stabbed.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to Church Hill in Ramsgate this afternoon.

Graham Young, who lives nearby, told KentOnline he saw police near Broad Street and the area had been taped off.

“I went around the corner and there is Church Hill where there is a block of flats," the 77-year-old said.

“One of the police officers said somebody has been stabbed.”

He told how there were about eight police cars in the road.

A police spokesperson said officers were called to a home in High Street, Ramsgate, at 11.50am following a report of an assault.

"A man sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound," they said.

His injuries are not deemed life-threatening and he was taken to hospital.

The road has been closed and officers are investigating.
