Man's body found in Pierremont Park in Broadstairs

The body of a man has today been discovered in a town centre park.

Police were called to Pierremont Park, Broadstairs, at 10.17am after the body of a man, believed to be in his 80s, was found.

A police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

"Kent Police was called at 10.17am on Monday 31 July 2017 to Pierremont Park in Broadstairs.

"Officers attended and a man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene."
