Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after lorry crash closes Carlton Avenue in Broadstairs

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to a London hospital after a crash involving a lorry in Broadstairs.

Police are at the scene of the crash - which happened in Carlton Avenue, between Stanley Road and Bradstow Way at about 2.15pm.

Fire and South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) crews also rushed to the scene, where they were met by the air ambulance.

A Secamb spokesman said: "The motorcyclist was treated at the scene before being airlifted to King's College Hospital with potentially serious injuries."

Carlton Avenue remains closed in both directions.
