Robin Ling of Westgate-on-Sea and Charlie Anderson of Canterbury charged with possession of firearm

Two men have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm after a firearm was reportedly seized from a vehicle.

Police stopped a motorist on the A28 in Sarre shortly before midnight on Wednesday, May 1.

Officers searched the car and discovered the weapon.

Robin Ling, 24, from Beach Road, Westgate-on-Sea, was arrested along with Charlie Anderson, also 24, of East Street in Canterbury.

The pair were charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

They have been remanded in custody and will appear at Canterbury crown court on Monday, June 3.
