A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car near a shopping centre.

Police were called to the collision near Westwood Cross in Margate Road, Broadstairs just after 5pm yesterday (December 23).

Officers attended along with paramedics and the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital.

Their injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
